The destruction activities take place under the close supervision of the authorities, representatives of specialized departments and relevant Market Management Teams, ensuring that the violating products have no chance to re-circulate on the market.
The Ho Chi Minh City Market Management Department said that the destroyed products violated regulations on goods quality and did not meet the requirements of National Technical Regulation QCVN 01:2017/BCT - an important standard in managing the quality of goods circulating in Vietnam.
The products destroyed in this batch include many different items, mainly clothes, shoes and masks. Of which, 11,423 units of products include pants, shirts, dresses, pajamas and other costumes; 18 pairs of sports shoes of unknown origin, not meeting quality and safety requirements; 7,880 fabric masks that do not meet quality standards, which can be harmful to the health of users.
The destruction process is carried out by burning in a two-level incinerator with a synchronous exhaust gas treatment system, to ensure that the destruction process meets technical and environmental protection requirements, helping to minimize toxic emissions during the destruction process, while protecting the health of those involved in supervising and performing the work.
