Vietnam Agricultural Products Business Company Limited, a joint venture between Bunge and Wilmar, specializes in the field of processing oily seeds and providing food and feed products for livestock.
Soybean oil press line No. 2 in Phu My 1 Industrial Park has increased processing capacity by 4,000 tons/day. This expansion, combined with line 1 (operated in 2011), brings VAL's total oil pressing capacity to 7,800 tons/day, affirming its position as the leading soybean Oil Pressure Complex in Southeast Asia.
This is an important milestone, not only marking a breakthrough in VAL's journey of innovation and development but also demonstrating practical contributions to the strategy of ensuring raw material security for Vietnam's livestock and food industries.
When fully operational, both oil press lines will process up to 2.6 million tons of soybeans and produce nearly 2 million tons of dry soybeans per year, meeting about 30% of domestic feed demand.
The plant plans to produce more than 500,000 tons of soy crude oil per year, serving domestic consumption and export needs, enhancing Vietnam's position among soy oil exporting countries.
