In 2024, the Market Management Department handled 1,001 violations, an increase of 23.12% compared to 2023. The total fine amounted to more than VND 2.1 billion, an increase of 3.7% over the same period last year.
Violations are concentrated in commodity groups such as gasoline, liquefied gas, food, tobacco, cosmetics, electronics, refrigeration, fertilizers, pesticides...
Of which, the Market Management Department discovered 37 violations of e-commerce, imposing fines of more than VND242 million. Authorities confiscated and destroyed many products of unknown origin such as cosmetics, clothes, etc.
