The workshop aims to contribute to realizing the country's common goals to respond to climate change and reduce greenhouse gas emissions towards the target of net zero emissions by 2050.
Ms. Tran Ngoc Anh, Senior External Affairs Director of Heineken Vietnam, said that over the years, Heineken Vietnam has continuously promoted the realization of the roadmap for emission reduction in production, through activities to reduce energy consumption with advanced equipment and optimize processes, switch to renewable energy, and apply innovation to maximize the circular economy. Thanks to that, the company has achieved significant achievements in reducing emissions in production.
However, the challenge for Heineken Vietnam lies in emissions from activities beyond the direct control of the business in the value chain. Therefore, Heineken Vietnam's ambition of achieving net zero emissions throughout the value chain can only be realized with close cooperation and joint efforts of partners and suppliers.
