Binh Dinh - On the evening of December 15, the leader of Tuy Phuoc District People's Committee confirmed that a drowning incident had just occurred in the area, causing the death of two sixth grade students.

According to initial information, on the afternoon of December 15, a group of students invited each other to the inner-field road in Huu Thanh village (Phuoc Hoa commune, Tuy Phuoc district, Binh Dinh) to play.

When reaching a flooded road, Do Kh (born 2013) and Doan Ngoc L (born 2013), both students in class 6A3 at Phuoc Hoa Secondary School, waded across and suddenly their legs fell into deep water and they drowned.

Discovering the incident, a student in the group called on people around to help rescue.

Many people actively searched, brought Kh and L to shore for first aid, then took them to the hospital for emergency treatment, however these two students died.

"The authorities have handed over the bodies of the two students to their families for funeral arrangements. As soon as the incident occurred, I personally visited and encouraged the families of the two students," said the leader of Tuy Phuoc District People's Committee.

From December 10 to 15, heavy rain occurred in Tuy Phuoc district, causing some areas to be locally flooded.
