On November 27, the leader of the People's Committee of Nhon Ly Commune (Quy Nhon City, Binh Dinh) said that the authorities are still trying to find the body of a man who fell down a cliff in Nhon Ly Commune while digging bonsai trees.
Previously, on November 25, a group of 5 men from Phu Yen province went to the Ky Co cliff area (Nhon Ly commune) to dig bonsai. While digging, one of the group unfortunately slipped and fell down the cliff, killing him.
The victim was identified as Nguyen Van Th (31 years old, residing in Tuy Hoa city, Phu Yen).
At around 10pm on November 25, the local authorities of Nhon Ly commune received the news and mobilized forces to find a way to bring the victim up. However, due to the high cliffs, rough seas, and large waves in the area with many reefs, the rescue team could not reach the area.
The leader of the Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police Department (PCCC&CNCH) of Binh Dinh Province Police said that the unit had mobilized more than 30 officers and soldiers along with many rescue vehicles to the scene, but had not yet approached and brought the victim to shore.
