Phu Yen - On June 9, the leader of the People's Committee of Hoa Dinh Tay commune (Phu Hoa district) said that a mother and child had just fallen into a ditch along the national highway, killing one person.

According to initial information, at around 3:00 p.m. the same day, Ms. B.T.K.B (born in 1989, residing in Son Ha commune, Son Hoa district, Phu Yen) was driving a motorbike carrying her 3-year-old son from home to her parents' house in Phu Hoa district. When she reached the section of National Highway 25 through the commune, she suddenly fell into a ditch along the road.

Immediately after discovering the incident, local people promptly saved the child's life and pulled the motorbike away, however, Ms. B was swept away by the water and went missing. At more than 4:00 p.m. the same day, the victim's body was found about 200m from the accident site.

Previously, in February 2025, a similar accident occurred in the ditch along National Highway 25 through Phu Hoa district, killing a male student (born in 2004, from Gia Lai).
