On July 27, the Coast Guard Region 4 Command discovered, inspected, and arrested a fishing boat illegally transporting over 40,000 liters of diesel (DO) in the Southwest sea.
Accordingly, at 2:00 a.m. on July 27, during a patrol, inspection and control in the sea area about 150 nautical miles southeast of Bo De Gate, Ca Mau Province, the Working Group of the Coast Guard Region 4 Command discovered and inspected the fishing boat CM 925xx TS with suspicious signs. The ship was captained by Mr. Nguyen Thanh Sang, born in 1981, residing in Tay Yen commune, An Giang province, with 4 crew members on board.
At the time of inspection, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Sang confessed that the fishing boat was transporting over 40,000 liters of DO oil, without documents proving the legal origin of the goods, to sell to fishing vessels operating at sea.
The functional forces of the Coast Guard Region 4 Command have drawn up a record of the temporary detention of the vehicle, sealed the goods and organized the escort of the vehicle to the port of Squadron 421/ Squadron 42 in Nam Can commune, Ca Mau province for investigation and handling according to the provisions of law.
