According to the report of the Department of Statistics, the socio -economic situation in the first 4 months of 2025 continued to change positively and prospered in most areas. In particular, the consumer price index (CPI) increased by 1.3% over the same period in 2024; mobilized capital was estimated at VND 78,400 billion, up more than 17%; State budget revenue is more than VND 2,800 billion, reaching more than 28% of the estimate in 2025; Industrial production index increased by 8.11%; The total export turnover is estimated at more than 647 million USD, up over 19% over the same period.
The disbursement of public investment capital as of April 30 was more than 1,300 billion VND; there were 256 newly established enterprises, with a total registered capital of more than 2,900 billion VND. To date, the total number of enterprises operating in the province is estimated at more than 5,300 enterprises.
Implementing the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, by May 1, localities had started construction of more than 1,700 houses (over 75%), completing 1,094 houses (of which 530 were newly built and 564 were repaired).
Dong Thap province also pays attention to the work of arranging administrative units, streamlining the apparatus according to instructions; implementing drastically, ensuring quality, according to the schedule and roadmap prescribed by the Central Government.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Tri Quang suggested that departments, branches and localities focus on implementing the directives of the Central and the province, including speeding up the implementation of the Project of 01 million hectares of high-quality and low-emission rice cultivation, the Project "Building Dong Thap into a pioneering province, a model of ecological agriculture, modern countryside, and civilized farmers by 2030".
Along with that is the requirement for sectors and levels to regularly monitor market developments to promptly inform businesses; focus on removing difficulties and obstacles to speed up the disbursement of public investment capital; monitor the progress of private investment projects; shorten administrative procedures to facilitate people and businesses; advise on good implementation of corruption prevention and control.
