On the evening of May 22, the City Police informed that the Investigation Police Agency - Hai Phong City Police had issued a decision to prosecute the case, prosecute the defendant, and issue an arrest warrant for Tran Van Huong (born in 1985, residing in Thien Dap village, Phu Thai commune, Hai Phong City) for the act of "Trading in prohibited goods" as stipulated in Clause 3, Article 190 of the Penal Code.
Previously, at 7:30 pm on May 14, at Km69+600, National Highway 5 in Phuong Due village, Phu Thai commune, Phu Thai Commune Police presided over and coordinated with professional units of Hai Phong City Police to catch Tran Van Huong red-handed transporting 255.87 kg of firecrackers (fireworks - more than 150 sets) for the purpose of illegal profit.
Currently, the case is being further investigated and handled according to regulations.
