According to initial information, on November 14, Mr. Vo Chi Linh, a police officer of Phong Thanh commune, Gia Rai town, Bac Lieu province, and the Phong Thanh commune security and order protection team were on duty in Hamlet 19, Phong Thanh commune, when they were suddenly stabbed from behind by Nguyen Van Chon (residing in Hamlet 19, Phong Thanh commune). As a result, Mr. Linh was injured and was taken to Bac Lieu General Hospital for emergency treatment. Chon was restrained and arrested by local people and the working group immediately after causing the incident.
Upon receiving the information, Colonel Le Thanh Hung, Deputy Director of Bac Lieu Provincial Police, along with representatives of several provincial police departments and leaders of Gia Rai Town Police, went directly to Bac Lieu General Hospital to visit and encourage Mr. Vo Chi Linh. The Deputy Director of Bac Lieu Provincial Police also requested that professional units quickly verify and clarify the case and strictly handle violators according to the provisions of law.
