On January 20, Cho Moi Commune Police, An Giang province said that the unit is temporarily detaining 2 subjects: Nguyen Hoai Han Em (born 2001) and Chau Van Tin (born 2000), both residing in Cho Moi commune to continue investigating the act of "Theft of property".
According to information from the police agency, because they did not have money to spend, Han Em and Tin invited each other to find other people's property to steal and sell for personal spending. At about 2 am on January 9, Tin drove a motorbike carrying Han Em to the area in Hamlet Thi 2, Cho Moi commune, and both discovered that Mr. M.T.T's house (born 1984) was not closed, and everyone in the house was asleep.
Han Em and Tin secretly pried open the back door of the house and then broke into the inside to steal 4 touch mobile phones of many brands. After stealing the property, Han Em and Tin quickly escaped. The stolen property, by the morning of the same day, Han Em and Tin sold it for money and divided it equally to spend until it was all gone.
Discovering the loss of property, Mr. Tung's family reported it to the police agency. Upon receiving the victim's report, the Cho Moi Commune Police force immediately went to the scene to verify, investigate and screen suspects.
On January 18, by professional measures, Cho Moi Commune Police determined that Han Em and Tin had committed the above theft, so they proceeded to arrest the two subjects while they were hiding in the locality.
Through working at the police station, Han Em and Tin admitted their criminal acts.
Currently, the case is being further investigated and clarified and handled according to the provisions of law.
