On July 22, information from Lao Bao International Border Gate Border Guard Station (Quang Tri Provincial Border Guard), the unit has just received 1 Vietnamese citizen who violated the law and hid in Laos handed over by functional forces of the friendly country, and at the same time completed procedures to hand over to Quang Tri Provincial Police for handling according to their authority.
The arrested subject is Le Tho Cam Cat (born in 1994, residing in Phu My Kien village, Ai Tu commune, Quang Tri province).
According to the case file, in 2024, Le Tho Cam Cat was sentenced by the Da Nang City People's Court to 13 years in prison for two charges of "Fraudulent appropriation of property" and "Forgery of seals and documents of agencies and organizations". However, during the execution of the sentence, by May 2025, subject Cat recklessly fled from detention. The Criminal Judgment Enforcement and Judicial Assistance Police Agency of Quang Tri Provincial Police then issued an arrest warrant for Le Tho Cam Cat.
Receiving wanted information, Lao Bao International Border Guard Station proactively deployed synchronous professional measures. Through review and grasping the situation, the border guard force determined that subject Cat was hiding in Laos.
Immediately, Lao Bao International Border Gate Border Guard Station closely coordinated with professional departments of Quang Tri Provincial Police and functional forces of Laos to carry out procedures to arrest the wanted subject.
On July 21, 2026, at the border gate, Lao functional forces handed over subject Le Tho Cam Cat to the Lao Bao International Border Guard Station. After completing the reception procedures, the unit handed over subject Cat to the Criminal Judgment Enforcement and Judicial Assistance Department of Quang Tri Provincial Police to continue to handle strictly according to the provisions of law.
