On May 9, Thuan Hoa Ward Police (Hue City) said that the unit had just coordinated with the Office of the Investigation Police Agency of Hue City Police to investigate, clarify and arrest a subject specializing in the act of property theft.
The arrested subject is Ho Ty (born in 1989), residing in Nguyen Lo Trach, Xuan Phu Ward, Hue City.
Ho Ty had 4 previous convictions for theft and had just completed his prison sentence on August 16, 2023. However, not long after being released from prison, this subject continued to re-offend.
According to the initial investigation, on May 2, 2025, Ho Ty walked around Hue City to search for loopholes in households. When arriving in front of house number 26 Trieu Quang Phuc Street (Thuan Hoa Ward), Ty discovered a Sirius motorbike parked in front of the house, unlocked and the key was still on the motorbike. Taking advantage of the homeowner's negligence, Ty secretly stole the car.
At the investigation agency, the subject confessed to having committed a total of 4 different thefts.
The Investigation Police Agency of Hue City Police has initiated a case, prosecuted the accused and detained the subject to serve the investigation and handling in accordance with the law.
