In the late afternoon of May 31, the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department of An Giang Provincial Police said that the unit had just coordinated with Khanh Binh Commune Police to arrest wanted subject Le Thi Cua (born in 2004, residing in Binh Thoi hamlet, Chau Phu commune, An Giang province). According to the case file, at about 8:10 am on March 27, 2025, through area management, the Police force inspected Cua's residence in Long Binh town (now Khanh Binh commune, An Giang province) and discovered that the subject was holding a paper box containing 2 nylon bags containing Methamphetamine and many related exhibits.

During the investigation, on May 28, 2025, the Investigation Police Agency of An Giang Provincial Police issued a decision to prosecute the accused and apply preventive measures prohibiting Le Thi Cua from leaving her place of residence to investigate the act of "Illegally possessing narcotics", because at that time the subject was pregnant.
However, during the period of being subject to the measure of prohibition from leaving the place of residence, Cua fled the locality. On November 28, 2025, the Investigation Police Agency of An Giang Provincial Police issued an arrest warrant for the subject for the act of "Illegally possessing narcotics". After many months of hiding in Kandal province (Cambodia), at about 5:30 am on May 30, 2026, Cua returned to Vietnam to visit his children. When arriving in Thanh Phu hamlet, Khanh Binh commune, An Giang province, the subject was discovered and arrested by detectives of the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department in coordination with Khanh Binh commune police. Currently, the subject has been handed over to the Investigation Police Agency of An Giang Provincial Police for further handling according to the provisions of law.
