On October 12, Tien Hai District Police (Thai Binh Province) announced that the District Police Investigation Agency had issued an emergency detention order for Pham Van Thuan (born in 1994, residing in Dong Bien Bac village, Nam Hong commune, Tien Hai district, Thai Binh province) to continue investigating the act of robbery. The order was approved by the Tien Hai District People's Procuracy.

Previously, on October 10, Tien Hai District Police received a crime report from Ms. N.T.M (born in 1978, residing in Dong Bien Bac village, Nam Hong commune, Tien Hai district, Thai Binh province) about: At about 9:50 p.m. on October 5, Ms. H.T.Y (born in 1982, residing in Nam Trung commune, Tien Hai district, Thai Binh province) drove a white motorbike carrying Ms. N.T.M sitting behind from Tien Hai town to Nam Hong commune.
The two people moved in the direction of Tien Hai town - Tay Giang commune - Tay Phong commune - Nam Ha commune then turned left onto Lien Son street towards Nam Hong commune.
When the two victims reached the field road, about 200 meters past Trung Quang pagoda in Tam Bao village (Nam Hong commune, Tien Hai district), suddenly a young man driving a black motorbike approached from behind on the left side and snatched a brown handbag from Ms. M that was on her lap; inside the handbag were over 2 million VND in cash and a silver-gray Samsung A05S mobile phone, then this person sped away towards Nam Trung commune.


Immediately after receiving the report, Tien Hai District Police quickly deployed forces, applied synchronous professional measures, and screened the subject. As a result, the investigation clarified that the subject who committed the crime was Pham Van Thuan. At the police station, Thuan confessed to all of the above crimes.
The case is currently under investigation and handling according to the law.
