In order to promptly encourage and motivate new soldiers to overcome difficulties after hours of tiring and arduous training, the Phu Quoc Special Zone Women's Union (An Giang) in coordination with the Women's Union of Brigade 950 (Military Region 9) organized the "Bat Nuoc thao truong" program at Brigade 950.
The program was organized right during break time, bringing a new breath of life to the new soldiers of Brigade 950. Leaving behind the exercises, the training ground suddenly became an emotional field stage with many cultural exchange performances between young soldiers and cadres and members of the Phu Quoc Special Zone Women's Union, bringing a joyful atmosphere, dispelling fatigue. The soldiers were given cool drinks and delicious, warm and meaningful cakes by mothers and sisters, helping the new soldiers alleviate some homesickness and feel more clearly the warmth of the rear, creating motivation for young men to "train strength, cultivate virtue, cultivate talent, cultivate hardship".
Private Le Quoc Tri, Company 3, Infantry Battalion 860, Brigade 950 confided: "The program has added motivation for new soldiers, after hours of studying and working. A small piece of cake or glass of water is a precious feeling, contributing significantly to helping soldiers have more study spirit.
Private Mai Van The Vinh, Company 2, Infantry Battalion 860, Brigade 950 shared: "In the early days away from home, sometimes I also miss home, miss loved ones, but when I came here, there were commanders comforting and encouraging me, so I was also mentally at ease. Today, there are aunts, sisters, and mothers coming here to give us glasses of water, cakes, helping to alleviate my homesickness and missing loved ones.

Ms. Bien My Linh, Chairwoman of the Phu Quoc Special Economic Zone Women's Union, said: the program aims to accompany new soldiers, add strength for new recruits to try their best, uphold the spirit of solidarity and coordination; consider the unit as home, and officers and soldiers in the unit as brothers. To jointly uphold the will to strive to excellently complete all assigned tasks, worthy of the noble title of Uncle Ho's soldier.
Under the harsh sun of Phu Quoc pearl island, tears rolling down their cheeks, the presence of mothers and sisters from the Phu Quoc Women's Union during the break of soldiers of Brigade 950 is a meaningful spiritual motivation, contributing to strengthening the military-civilian relationship. This is also an affirmation that the rear always accompanies soldiers stationed in the area, creating the best conditions for officers and soldiers to firmly hold their guns to protect the sacred sea and sky of the Fatherland.
