Information from Tra Vinh Provincial Police on December 18 said that at around 0:10 on December 15, Ngu Lac Commune Police, Duyen Hai District coordinated with the Investigation Police Team of Duyen Hai District Police to patrol to ensure security and order when they received a report that at the house of Mr. Thach Cuong (45 years old, residing in Ro Say Hamlet, Ngu Lac Commune, Duyen Hai District, Tra Vinh Province) many people were gathering and illegally using drugs, so they proceeded to check.
Through inspection, the patrol team discovered that Thach Thay (24 years old); Kien Ton Bao (24 years old), residing in Ro Say hamlet; Ha Phuoc Loi (30 years old, residing in Me Lang hamlet, both in Ngu Lac commune, Duyen Hai district, Tra Vinh province) and D.T.H.Y (17 years old, residing in Hoa Binh hamlet, Thoi Quan commune, Go Quao district, Kien Giang province) were illegally using drugs.
When the police checked, Ha Phuoc Loi threw a plastic bag containing white solid crystals (suspected to be drugs) from the house through the window into Mr. Thach Cuong's yard. During the investigation, Ha Phuoc Loi confessed that the white solid crystals contained in the plastic bag were drugs that he bought for his own use.
At the scene, the police discovered and seized a sealed plastic bag (with zipper) containing white solid crystals (suspected to be drugs); a homemade tool kit used for illegal use of drugs and a number of other items.
The police force proceeded to make a record of the arrest of the offender and temporarily seized the evidence according to regulations.
The case is being further investigated and clarified for handling according to the law.
