The captain confessed that the fishing boat was transporting about 260,000 liters of DO oil without documents proving the legal origin of the goods.

On July 28, the Coast Guard Region 4 Command said that the unit continued to detect, inspect, and arrest a fishing boat illegally transporting about 260,000 liters of diesel (DO oil) in the Southwest sea. This is a consecutive feat of the Coast Guard Region 4 Command, in just 2 days of July 27 and 28, it discovered and arrested 2 ships illegally transporting DO oil in the Southwest sea with a total quantity of over 300,000 liters.

Specifically, at around 10:30 a.m. on July 28, while performing patrol, inspection and control tasks in the waters bordering Vietnam - Malaysia, the authorities of the Coast Guard Region 4 Command discovered and inspected the fishing boat QB 966xx TS with suspicious signs.

At the time of inspection, there were 5 crew members on the boat, captained by Mr. Vo Hoai Hau (born in 1980), located in My Tho ward, Dong Thap province. Mr. Hau stated that the fishing boat was transporting about 260,000 liters of DO oil without documents proving the legal origin of the goods, and this oil would be sold to other fishing boats operating at sea.

The functional forces of the Coast Guard Region 4 Command have drawn up a record of the temporary detention of the vehicle, sealed the goods and organized the escort of the vehicle to the port of Squadron 421/ Squadron 42 in Nam Can commune, Ca Mau province for investigation and handling according to the provisions of law.
