On March 26, the Investigation Police Agency of Ho Chi Minh City Police said that it had executed an arrest warrant for Tran Van Trieu (21 years old, from Dong Thap province) and Huynh Hoang Vinh (19 years old, from Ca Mau province) for the act of disturbing public order.
According to initial investigation, Trieu and Vinh worked as hired loaders at two nearby warehouses in hall F of Binh Dien market, Binh Dong ward. At about 1 am on July 20, 2025, while transporting goods, the two had a conflict and then fought each other, but were stopped by everyone. At about 11 pm on July 22, 2025, Vinh went with Huy (unknown origin) to meet Trieu delivering goods, the two sides challenged him and then rushed to fight each other.
During the scuffle, Trieu picked up a metal hook to pull the goods. Seeing this, Vinh and Huy ran towards the parking lot near the embankment. Trieu chased after the hook for about 100m when Vinh and Huy threw plastic chairs at him. Trieu used the hook to block it.

After that, Vinh picked up an iron pipe and threatened to beat him, while Huy held a weapon suspected to be a ice cutter knife. Seeing the opponent with a weapon, Trieu ran away. Vinh and Huy continued to chase after them with weapons.
When the warehouse staff and market security came to intervene, Vinh and Huy ran away towards Quan Trong Linh street.
Binh Dong Ward Police have made a record and brought Vinh and Trieu to the headquarters to work. Through extracting camera footage and witness statements at Binh Dien market, the investigating agency determined that the two repeatedly fought each other, used weapons to chase in crowded places, causing bad effects on security and order.
Currently, the Investigation Police Agency of Ho Chi Minh City Police authorized Binh Dong Ward Police to execute the arrest warrant for Trieu and Vinh.
The police also requested Huy to surrender soon to enjoy leniency.
