On June 4, the Investigation Police Agency of Lam Dong Provincial Police said that it had issued a decision to prosecute the case, prosecute the defendant and execute an arrest warrant for Ngo Duy Thanh (41 years old, residing in Hiep Thanh commune) to investigate the crime of property theft.
Previously, in mid-May, Hiep Thanh Commune Police continuously received reports from people about cases of breaking into people's houses to steal property that occurred in Phuoc Hoi and Nghia Hiep villages.
Through applying professional measures, Hiep Thanh Commune Police identified Ngo Duy Thanh as the subject who committed the above 2 thefts.
After a period of monitoring and ambushing, the police force successfully arrested the subject.
At the police station, Thanh confessed that he regularly drove a motorbike to find houses with locked doors, homeowners away or without guards to break in and steal property.
The subject used bolt cutters to break the lock, broke into the house and took valuable assets. During the investigation, Ngo Duy Thanh confessed to all criminal acts.
Currently, the case is being further investigated and clarified by the police agency for handling according to the provisions of law.
