On June 26, according to information from Vinh Long Provincial Police, the Provincial Police Investigation Agency has executed the decision to prosecute the case, prosecute the defendant and issue an arrest warrant for Nguyen Thanh Can (born in 1980, residing in Phuoc Hau ward) to investigate the act of illegal drug trading.
According to the case file, at about 11 am on June 16, during a patrol on the road in hamlet 6, Thanh Duc ward, the Task Force of the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department discovered Nguyen Thanh Can driving a motorbike with suspicious signs, so they requested him to stop the vehicle for inspection.
During the inspection, Can took out of his pants pocket a nylon bag containing white crystalline substance, suspected to be drugs, and threw it onto the roadside to destroy evidence. Working with functional forces, the subject admitted that the crystalline substance just thrown away was methamphetamine.
Expanding the investigation, the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department arrested N.E. (resident of Long Ho commune, Vinh Long province), identifying him as the drug dealer to Nguyen Thanh Can.
The Investigation Police Agency of Vinh Long Provincial Police is continuing to investigate and handle the subjects according to regulations.
