On August 29, Phuoc Thuan Border Guard Station (HCMC Border Guard) announced that it had arrested Nguyen Thi Ngoc Thanh (born in 1973, residing in Hanoi) to investigate the act of illegally storing and using drugs.
According to initial information, at around 5:10 p.m. on August 28, the drug and crime prevention force of Phuoc Thuan Border Guard Station, in coordination with the Professional Department (Ho Chi Minh City Border Guard Command), Ho Tram Commune Police discovered and caught Thanh red-handed for illegally storing drugs, at alley 249, 27/4 Street, Ho Tram Commune, Ho Chi Minh City.
The seized evidence was a sealed white plastic bag containing a colorless crystallization substance, which the subject confessed was crystal meth, weighing about 5 grams.
Continuing to search the subject's residence, the authorities seized 3 more similar plastic bags, with a total weight of 15 grams, along with tools for drug use.
Currently, the unit is coordinating with relevant forces to verify, clarify and handle the subject according to regulations.
