On the afternoon of March 28, Phuoc An Port Investment and Investment Petroleum Joint Stock Company (PAP) and Saigon New Port Corporation (SNP) held a welcoming ceremony for the first ship of container ship company SITC to arrive at Phuoc An port (Nhon Trach district).
This is the first ship of container ship company SITC (one of the leading container ships in Asia) to arrive at Phuoc An port carrying nearly 1,000 TEUs of general cargo to enterprises in the Southeast region.
According to PAP, Phuoc An port is the first green port in Dong Nai to completely use electrical equipment, helping to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, protect the environment, while optimizing exploitation efficiency, reducing fuel costs and enhancing labor safety, contributing to improving competitiveness and creating sustainable value for the logistics industry.

PAP and SNP have also signed a cooperation agreement, combining PAP's modern infrastructure potential and SNP's leading port management and exploitation experience to create a comprehensive and efficient logistics ecosystem, helping businesses reduce transportation costs and optimize delivery time.
Previously, on February 13, Phuoc An port also welcomed the first ship from Singapore of MSC, transporting nearly 1,400 TEUs of textile, electronic goods, etc.
According to the plan, Phuoc An port is divided into port subdivisions and logistics service subdivisions (550ha). In particular, the port subdivision has a total area of 164.5 hectares, a total port length of 2,830m, including 9 container wharves capable of receiving ships with a load capacity of 100,000 DWT, With a scale and capacity of exploiting 7 million TEUs in all 3 subdivisiones (1 TEU equivalent to a 20-foot container).
In 2025, it is expected to reach 1.3 million TEUs/year, then gradually increase and will reach 4 million TEUs/year by 2026.
