Cutting administrative procedures to open the way for the private economy

Gia Lai proactively cuts administrative procedures to create a transparent and most favorable investment environment for businesses.

On February 9, Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee said that in order to develop the private economy in the area, the province has implemented many solutions in the past time, focusing on reducing administrative procedures.

According to statistics, in 2025, the whole province had 3,185 newly established businesses, an increase of more than 47% compared to 2024. Total registered capital reached 28,000 billion VND, an increase of over 43% compared to the previous year. Thereby, raising the total number of businesses operating in the province to nearly 19,000 businesses.

In 2025, the province attracted 192 investment projects with a total registered capital of 159,874.79 billion VND. The private economy continues to play an important role when contributing about 23% of total state budget revenue in the area. At the same time, the private economic sector has created jobs for about 94% of the total labor force in the province.

In order to improve the investment and business environment, create openness, transparency and convenience for investors, the Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee has issued Regulations on coordination in resolving administrative procedures in the fields of investment, construction, land, forestry, environment and fire prevention and fighting in the province.

According to this regulation, the total time for resolving administrative procedures for projects outside economic zones and industrial parks is shortened to 60 days; for projects in economic zones and industrial parks, it is 38 days.

In addition, the province has reviewed 100% of administrative procedures, reducing more than 55% of processing time.

The Provincial People's Committee has also issued 3 plans to reduce the processing time and compliance costs for 1,713 administrative procedures, focusing on 790 procedures belonging to the group of licensing and issuing certificates.
