On April 1st, Lam Vien Ward Police - Da Lat (Lam Dong province) said they had received information from people reflecting on dog theft occurring in the area in recent days.
Currently, the Ward Police are verifying and handling related subjects; and at the same time strengthening night patrols to ensure security and order in the area.

Mr. Dung, a resident living in an alley on Thanh Mau street (Lam Vien ward - Da Lat), said that in the early morning of March 30, two men on motorbikes came to the front of his house, used homemade electric guns to chase and shoot at the pet dog.
The shot made the dog scream, causing chaos in the area. Fortunately, it ran into the house in time and escaped death. The subjects brought weapons and homemade electric guns, so people in the alley were very worried, afraid that they would come back to continue committing crimes," Mr. Dung said angrily.
According to Mr. Dung, when he discovered the incident, a neighbor opened the door to check, and the two subjects quickly got on their motorbikes and left.
Similarly, Mr. Nguyen Phuc, a resident living in an alley on Nguyen Hoang street (Lang Biang ward - Da Lat) said that a few days ago, his family discovered a dog weighing about 15kg suddenly "disappeared", so they organized a search.

Through checking security cameras, he discovered that the dog was shot dead by a group of dog thieves using homemade electric guns and then taken away.
Not stopping there, in the early morning of April 1st, a household living near Mr. Phuc's house continued to have their dogs stolen by thieves.
“Images from the camera show two men shooting the dog to death at about 1:37 am, then carrying it on their shoulders and quickly leaving the scene by motorbike,” Mr. Phuc said.
