On the afternoon of March 13, Colonel Trinh Xuan Tung, Commander of Naval Region 5, Head of the Steering Committee for Administrative Reform and Digital Transformation of Region 5, inspected the digital transformation work at Regiment 551.
The Commander of Naval Region 5 inspected the leadership, direction and operation of Regiment 551 in the field of digital transformation; ensuring equipment, transmission lines, digital certification; the work of transferring - receiving - processing documents in the electronic environment; signing documents, signing personal numbers; advantages, difficulties and obstacles in the process of implementing digital transformation and the results of digital transformation of the unit.
Through the inspection, it was shown that the 551th Regiment has thoroughly grasped and fully implemented the directives and instructions of superiors on administrative reform and digital transformation; effectively exploited and used specialized software, shared software in document management, operation and transmission - receipt - processing of electronic documents using digital signatures. Thereby, serving the leadership, direction and operation of unit commanders in all aspects of work.
Concluding the inspection, Colonel Trinh Xuan Tung acknowledged and commended the 551th Regiment for leading, directing, and proactively implementing the digital transformation work effectively in the unit. At the same time, it is noted that the Regiment needs to continue reviewing and implementing synchronously, with a focus and key points on digital transformation tasks associated with promoting the application of information technology, ensuring information security, network security and effectively implementing training and fostering digital human resources.
The Commander of Naval Region 5 requested that before April 2025, 100% of relevant agencies, units and individuals in the Regiment must carry out digital signatures according to regulations. The Regiment coordinates with the competent authorities of the Region to ensure adequate and timely equipment and information technology materials for affiliated units to carry out their tasks. In particular, priority is given to ensuring information security, training, combat readiness, management and protection of the sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland.
