On October 23, To Chau Ward Police (An Giang) said that recently, the Investigation Police Agency of the Provincial Police issued a decision to prosecute the case and prosecute Nguyen Chi Nghiep (born in 1979, residing in To Chau Ward, An Giang Province) to investigate the act of "Gambling".
According to the investigation results, at around 5:30 p.m. on August 29, 2025, To Chau Ward Police conducted an inspection of the above location and discovered that many subjects participating in gambling in the form of shaking tai su were given money, so they took the subjects to the ward police headquarters for questioning. Among them was Nguyen Chi Nghiep.
The ward police temporarily seized a set of tools used to shake tai su, money and some other related exhibits.
Through investigation, the subjects all admitted to gambling in the form of shaking tai xiu. Nguyen Chi Nghiep has a previous conviction for "Gambling" but his criminal record has not been cleared.
Currently, the Investigation Police Agency of An Giang Province Police has applied the measure of prohibiting Nguyen Chi Nghiep from leaving his place of residence, continuing to investigate and handle him according to the provisions of law.
