On October 17, the Office of the Investigation Police Agency of Da Nang City Police announced that it had just arrested two particularly dangerous wanted subjects, Le Hong Long (born in 1999, residing in Ha Nha commune, Da Nang city) and Nguyen Duc Hung (born in 1994, residing in Chuong My ward, Hanoi city).
Both are wanted for the crime of " Abuse of trust to appropriate property" according to the provisions of the Penal Code. Nguyen Duc Hung was also prosecuted for the crime of "Forgery of seals and documents of agencies and organizations; use of fake seals and documents of agencies and organizations".
According to the investigation records, in June 2020, Nguyen Duc Hung rented a motorbike from Mr. N.H.V (born in 1987, residing in Thac Gian ward, Thanh Khe district) for 1 day for 150,000 VND. When due, Hung did not return the car but resold it to someone else. When he discovered that his car was being used by a young man in Long An province, Mr. V reported it to the police.
Similarly, Le Hong Long borrowed a SH motorbike from Mr. H.V.L (born in 1999, residing in Dai Loc, Da Nang) and then mortgaged it for 60 million VND to spend, then fled the locality.
Using professional measures, the investigation force determined that Long was hiding in Ho Chi Minh City, while Hung was taking shelter in Hanoi. Immediately afterwards, the unit's leaders mobilized two special working groups - one group to the South, one group to the North - to arrest the subjects.
On October 15, 2025, the first working group arrested Le Hong Long in Tan Son ward, Ho Chi Minh City. Just one day later, on October 16, the second team also successfully controlled Nguyen Duc Hung in Ha Dong ward, Hanoi.
Both subjects have been transferred to Da Nang to serve the investigation and handling according to the law.
