On October 22, according to information from the Dong Thap Provincial Police website, the Dong Thap Provincial Police Investigation Security Agency issued a Decision to prosecute Nguyen Hoang Minh Khanh (35 years old, residing in Phu Thuan Quarter, Cai Lay Ward, Dong Thap Province) for the act of "Illegal possession of military weapons".
Previously, Cai Lay Ward Police received reports from the public about the discovery of Nguyen Hoang Minh Khanh showing signs of illegally possessing a gun and many bullets of various types, so they conducted an inspection and seized them. Through the appraisal, it was determined that the above guns and bullets were on the list of military weapons, so the case was transferred to the Investigation Security Agency of Dong Thap Provincial Police for further investigation according to its authority.
Initial investigation results determined that around July 2025, Khanh went online to order 1 air gun and 24 bullets. After that, Khanh kept it at his house in Phu Thuan quarter (Cai Lay ward, Dong Thap province) until it was discovered and seized by the police.
Currently, the Investigation Security Agency of Dong Thap Provincial Police is continuing to investigate, clarify and handle according to the law.
