HUE - Thuan An Ward Police returned assets to Israeli tourists, contributing to spreading the image of a friendly and safe Hue in the eyes of international friends.

On April 21, Thuan An Ward Police (Hue City) said that they had received and returned the lost property to a foreign tourist.

At around 4:00 p.m. on April 20, Mr. Pham Ngoc Lam - Head of the Security and Order Protection Team (BVANTT) of An Hai Residential Area - while on duty at Thuan An beach received a black handbag picked up by a group of young people. Inside were passports, driver's licenses, and credit cards under the name Engesrath Hemdat Daniel (born in 2002, Israeli nationality) with the amount of 200 USD and 1,117,000 VND.

Immediately after receiving the property, Mr. Lam handed over all the assets to Thuan An Ward Police for verification and search for the owner.

The ward police quickly coordinated with relevant units to identify Mr. Daniel as the person who dropped the property and invited him to the headquarters to return it.

At around 7:30 p.m. the same day, Mr. Daniel - who was traveling around Southeast Asia with his friend - arrived at the ward police headquarters to receive the property.

He expressed his joy and deep gratitude for receiving all the important documents, especially the passport, to help continue his journey back home.

In the handwritten thank you letter in English, Mr. Daniel emotionally shared: I feel so grateful that I cannot speak the words. I didn't know what to do and the police officers were very kind and professional."
