On May 26, information from Lao Cai Provincial Police said that the unit had successfully captured a robbery suspect in Sa Pa town.
Previously, at 9:20 p.m. on May 25, Police Station 113, Department of Administrative Management of Social Order, Lao Cai Provincial Police received a report from Sa Pa Ward Police, Sa Pa Town about a proposal to coordinate the arrest of a robbery suspect on the run.
Immediately after receiving the information, the 113 Police force deployed a pursuit plan and quickly identified, stopped the vehicle, and controlled the subject.
Previously, at around 8:30 p.m. on May 25, Sa Pa Ward Police received a report from Ms. Tran Thi Hien (born in 1989, residing in Nghi Duc Commune, Vinh City, Nghe An Province) about a young man snatching a Samsung phone in the ward.
Through quick verification, the police force determined that the perpetrator was on the run on a passenger bus with license plate 29C-024.26 of Sao Viet, traveling in the direction of Sa Pa - Lao Cai. Sa Pa Ward Police urgently requested 113 Police to coordinate in arresting the subject.
At around 9:40 p.m., Police Working Group 113 stopped the suspicious vehicle, conducted an inspection and discovered that Duong Duc Tuan (born in 1983, residing in Ba Dinh ward, Thanh Hoa city, Thanh Hoa province) was the one who committed the robbery.
The task force immediately controlled and arrested the subject, seizing evidence of the case, which was the stolen mobile phone.
After that, all records, subjects and evidence were handed over to Sa Pa Ward Police for further investigation and handling according to the law.
