On August 4, Kien Luong Commune Police said that the Investigation Police Agency of An Giang Provincial Police has temporarily detained Tran Thi Nguyen (born in 2001, residing in Kien Luong commune) and Duong Van Hiep (born in 2003, residing in Hoa Dien commune) to investigate the act of "Illegally possessing drugs".
Previously, the commune police received a report from the people about a subject suspected of illegally possessing drugs in Group 4, Hoa Lap hamlet, Kien Luong commune, An Giang province. Immediately after receiving the report, the commune police deployed forces to inspect.
In Tran Thi Nguyen's bedroom, the police force discovered Nguyen and Duong Van Hiep hiding 8 sealed nylon bags, inside containing suspected drugs and a set of tools used for illegal drug use.
Working with the police agency, Nguyen and Hiep admitted to illegally possessing drugs; Nguyen himself confessed that the set of tools used to use drugs illegally belonged to him.
Currently, the Provincial Police Investigation Agency is continuing to investigate and clarify to handle according to the provisions of law.
