On June 5, Bo Y Commune Police said they are continuing to investigate and clarify a property theft case taking place in the area.
Previously, on April 1, 2026, Bo Y Commune Police received a crime report from Mr. A.W. (born in 1920, residing in Bo Y commune) about being robbed of about 80 million VND by thieves.
Immediately after receiving the report, the Commune Police conducted a scene examination and reviewed the suspected subjects.
At about 3 pm on the same day, the police force identified Y N. (born in 1994, residing in Kei Joi village, Bo Y commune, Quang Ngai province) as the subject who committed the act of stealing property from Mr. A.W. with the amount appropriated being 77 million VND.
Mr. A.W. has particularly difficult family circumstances. While his children are working far away, he and his wife are both old, have weak health, reduced memory and only know how to rely on each other in daily life.
After identifying the subject, Bo Y Commune Police urgently deployed the work of searching and recovering property.
This is not an easy task because the stolen money has been quickly divided and dispersed by the subjects immediately after committing the crime.
During the investigation and clarification of the case, the police force determined that Y N. used the amount of 77 million VND to pay debts, give to others, hide and spend personally. This caused many difficulties and complexities in verifying, zoning and recovering assets.
However, with a high sense of responsibility and determination to protect the legitimate rights of the people, Bo Y Commune Police recovered all the stolen property and returned it to the two lonely elderly people.
Quickly investigating and clarifying the case and recovering all assets not only helps victims reduce difficulties but also contributes to strengthening people's trust in the grassroots police force.
