On the first day of the new year, at Tra Da and Dien Phu industrial parks in Pleiku city, Gia Lai province, the working atmosphere was still very bustling.
Trucks and containers are bustling in and out of factories and plants to load and unload goods. Inside the industrial park, there are thousands of workers. The factories mainly process agricultural products such as: coffee, passion fruit, wood for export, etc.
Ms. Tran Thi Lai, a worker at an agricultural processing factory, shared that normally, today is a holiday, and she should be with her family. However, in order for the company to prepare for the end-of-lunar-year orders, many of my fellow workers and I encouraged each other to work overtime.
"Working on the first day of the year is also a joy, helping us earn more income to save and shop for a warmer Lunar New Year" - Ms. Lai shared.
Mr. Nguyen Van Hung - a worker at a stone factory in the industrial park shared: "Entering the new year 2025, I and many other workers hope that the economy will flourish and develop. Enterprises will sign many orders so that workers will have more jobs, thereby increasing wages and stable income to take care of their families."
In Dak Lak province, on the morning of January 2025, instead of being with her family, Ms. Siu H'Be (team 4, Rubber Plantation 30.4, Buon Ma Thuot city) woke up early in the morning to go tap latex.
According to Ms. Siu H'Be, for workers, the greatest joy is when they completely complete the assigned work. Even on holidays and working overtime is completely normal.
"Holidays are not too important for rubber tappers like us. The nature of the job requires flexibility and appropriate time arrangements. Working overtime but being guaranteed salary and bonus by the business owner is a great source of spiritual encouragement" - Ms. Siu H'Be excitedly said.

The leader of the 30.4 Rubber Plantation (Dak Lak province) informed that the unit has a policy of giving workers a day off on January 1, 2025. However, a few workers tried to work overtime and completed their work on the first day of the new year, which is very commendable.
"This year, the New Year is quite close to the Lunar New Year, we will try to balance our finances and revenue. Thereby, ensuring salaries and bonuses so that workers can have a full traditional New Year with their relatives and families," said the leader of the 30.4 Rubber Plantation.
At Hoa Phu Industrial Park and Tan An Industrial Cluster, Buon Ma Thuot City (Dak Lak), on the first day of the year, many workers still came to the factory to ensure orders were completed and delivered to partners soon.
According to the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee, in recent years, the locality has increased investment attraction and invited businesses to create jobs for local workers. Gia Lai wants to focus on deep processing of agricultural products for export, bringing high value.
Besides, trade unions at all levels in the province also regularly care for the material and spiritual life of workers.
