Accordingly, voters reported that on National Highway 1A, through Tuy An district and Song Cau town, Phu Yen province, there are many sections where construction units have dug and plowed the road surface for a long time, causing slow restoration of the road surface, causing traffic obstruction and unsafety for people and vehicles.
Voters recommend that the Ministry of Transport review and remedy this situation.
Responding to this issue, the Ministry of Transport said that in 2024, the Vietnam Road Administration will organize the implementation of 9 road surface repair projects from Km1265-Km1317.
Due to the project's technical requirements and instructions, when constructing and treating the underlying foundation layers, there must be enough time for construction and acceptance before laying the asphalt concrete layer above.
In addition, the simultaneous construction and traffic assurance on the road in operation inevitably affects the traffic of people and vehicles on the route.
To limit the impact on traffic, the Ministry of Transport has directed the Vietnam Road Administration, the Project Management Board, the supervision consultant and the contractor to speed up the construction progress, fully arrange measures to ensure traffic safety when constructing on the road in operation according to regulations and approved construction agreements.
To date, 7/9 projects have been completed; 2/9 projects have repaired and restored 100% of motor vehicle lanes, serving normal traffic. The Contractor is completing the traffic safety system to hand over and put into operation.
