On the afternoon of September 4, the welcoming ceremony for the delegation of officers and soldiers who had just successfully completed the parade and marching mission in the 80th Anniversary of the success of the August Revolution and National Day 2.9 (at Ba Dinh Square, Hanoi) was held at Da Nang Station.
At 2:30 p.m., train SE63 took more than 1,500 officers and soldiers from Hanoi to Da Nang Station. The resounding applause mixed with bright smiles, youth union members and officers and soldiers were present early, eagerly welcoming the officers and soldiers returning after a glorious journey.
Speaking at the welcoming ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Thi - Vice Chairman of Da Nang City People's Committee - said that the A80 force selected this time are excellent representatives in terms of quality, strength, bravery, will and discipline.
In recent days, the image of comrades standing tall and walking majestically on the historic Ba Dinh Square has left a strong impression on the hearts of people across the country and international friends. It is not only a symbol of the strength of the Vietnam People's Army and the Vietnam People's Public Security, but also a vivid testament to the spirit of solidarity, steadfast will and aspiration to firmly protect the independence and freedom of the Fatherland.
"Da Nang City as well as the people feel that behind those strong and decisive footsteps is a series of days of continuous hard work, pouring in so much sweat of comrades. That is the crystallization of the spirit of "forgetting oneself for the Fatherland", "serving the People", the embodiment of the noble quality of "Uncle Ho's soldiers" in the new era", Ms. Thi emphasized.
