The People's Committee of Da Nang City issued Official Letter No. 1522/UBND-DTDT on Strengthening the management of urban order and aesthetics in the city.
Accordingly, the City People's Committee assigned the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to preside over and coordinate with the People's Committees of communes, special wards and related units to strengthen information, propaganda, management of order, aesthetics, urban landscape, environmental sanitation, especially in wards in the city center, urban areas, and places with many visitors and tourists.
The People's Committees of communes, wards and special zones shall preside over and coordinate with the Department of Agriculture and Environment and units to continue to effectively implement the Green - Clean - Beautiful Sunday movement to raise awareness of organizations and individuals in the environmental protection movement throughout the city.
The Department of Construction, the Department of Agriculture and Environment, the People's Committees of communes, wards and special zones, based on their assigned functions, tasks and authority, coordinate with relevant units to step up inspection, handling of violations, rectifying, restoring urban order, ensuring traffic safety, aesthetics, and environmental sanitation according to regulations, especially sidewalk and parking order that is not in accordance with regulations in wards in the central area in the city.
The Department of Construction, the Department of Agriculture and Environment, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, People's Committees of communes and wards, especially coordinate with relevant units to effectively manage, maintain and service traffic infrastructure, billboards, fire prevention and fighting water supply systems, waste collection and treatment locations on the roads, promptly detect and handle damage to ensure aesthetics, environmental sanitation, and traffic safety.
There is a plan to invest in upgrading sidewalks, roadsides, dredging and clearing water collection and drainage systems, ensuring completion before the 2025 storm season.
