At about 5:20 p.m. on August 19, during a patrol to ensure traffic safety and order, the Working Group of the Road Traffic Police Team No. 1 - Traffic Police Department of Da Nang City Police discovered a car with license plate 43E-0 18.XX with suspicious signs at No. 142 Nguyen Tri Phuong.
When asked to stop the vehicle for inspection, the driver did not comply but accelerated and fled through many streets, endangering traffic participants.
With a determined fighting spirit, the force deployed synchronous professional measures, arrived at the Le Duan - Dien Bien Phu intersection to promptly control, stop the vehicles and bring the subjects to the headquarters for clarification.
Through a preliminary inspection, the police discovered a drug trafficking tool on the vehicle. The driver was identified as V.T. (born in 1999, residing in Thanh Khe ward, Da Nang), carrying T.C.C. (born in 2001, residing on Ha Huy Tap Street, Thanh Khe Ward). Rapid test results showed that both subjects tested positive for drugs.
The working group has drawn up a record of administrative violations for the act of "a driver on the road with drugs in his body", temporarily detained the vehicle and handed over the person and the evidence to Thanh Khe Ward Police for further investigation and handling according to the law.
