In 2024 alone, this unit has fined 69 violations in the field of e-commerce, collecting more than 1.1 billion VND for the state budget.
Through the process of market inspection, the Market Management Teams have disseminated and popularized legal regulations in e-commerce activities to organizations and individuals to raise awareness and responsibility for law compliance of website owners and applications providing e-commerce services. At the same time, they signed a commitment to comply with legal regulations in e-commerce activities. Do not provide e-commerce services without registering in accordance with the law, do not take advantage of e-commerce to trade in counterfeit goods, goods that violate intellectual property rights, goods and services on the list of prohibited goods and services.
However, according to the Da Nang Market Management Department, the fight against counterfeit goods in the e-commerce environment also faces many difficulties. E-commerce websites do not display information about the website owner, do not publicize the business location, do not provide an address or provide an incorrect address, or use many different social network accounts, erasing traces of transactions.
In the coming time, the Market Management Department of Da Nang City will continue to closely follow and strictly implement the directions of the Prime Minister, the Minister of Industry and Trade, the People's Committee of Da Nang City, and the General Department of Market Management related to market management in e-commerce activities and protecting consumer rights in Da Nang City.
