From May 15 to now, during the peak period of fighting against smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods, and intellectual property infringement, the Dak Lak Market Management Department has inspected, detected, and handled many violating establishments.
For example, on May 28, the Inspection Team of the E-commerce Market Management Team, mobile, suddenly inspected a cosmetics business location.
This point operates mainly on social networking platforms, located in Tan Thanh ward, Buon Ma Thuot city.
At the time of inspection, the Inspection Team discovered and seized more than 2,000 cosmetic products of unknown origin.
The business owner could not present any invoices or documents proving the legality of the goods.
The total value of the goods was over 80 million VND. The inspection team temporarily detained all the infringing goods and prepared a file to handle them according to regulations.
Mr. Vuong Minh Son - Head of the Dak Lak Provincial Market Management Department - said that checking goods circulating on the market is a regular task of the unit.
Implementing the Prime Minister's Official Dispatch No. 65, the Market Management force focuses on inspecting and handling items such as cosmetics, functional foods, etc. These are groups of goods with a high risk of commercial fraud and directly affecting the health of consumers.
During the peak month (from May 15 to present), the force inspected and handled 47 violations, with a total fine of nearly 1 billion VND. Most of the cases are related to cosmetics and functional foods of unknown origin.
The Market Management Force also strengthens coordination with functional sectors such as the police, health, agriculture and environment to inspect areas related to renewable drugs, functional foods and food hygiene and safety.
According to Mr. Son, the inspection is not only to detect and handle violations, but also contributes to raising consumer awareness of food hygiene and safety. The violations have been made public on the Department's website to warn and raise public awareness.
This activity not only contributes to protecting people's health but also promotes the improvement of the quality of goods circulating on the market.
