Following the direction of the Ministry of Public Security, from May 15 to August 14, 2025, Quang Nam Provincial Police will launch a peak period to fight and handle crimes of manufacturing and trading counterfeit goods.
This is a campaign identified as being implemented in the spirit of " handling one case, warning the whole region, the whole field", "no forbidden areas, no exceptions". Any violation - whether sophisticated, whether organized, whether in cyberspace or off-site - will be strictly handled by law.
According to Quang Nam Police, counterfeit goods making activities are currently very sophisticated: such as counterfeiting brand labels, deceiving consumers through social networks, linking celebrities to make fake advertisements. The affected areas range from food, medicine, cosmetics to fertilizers, veterinary drugs, etc.
The Director of the Provincial Police Department directed all forces from the province to the grassroots to simultaneously deploy and implement strongly and decisively. The peak period is divided into 2 phases:
Phase 1 (from May 15 to 22), the authorities conducted a general inspection, making a list of businesses, establishments, warehouses, unit markets, websites and social network accounts with suspicious signs.
Phase 2 (from May 22 to February 14), will implement verification, investigation, and strict handling of acts of production and trading of counterfeit goods, false advertising, fake documents, and trade fraud.
This is a strong attack to restore market order, protect consumer rights and the sustainable development of genuine businesses.
