Hung Yen - Minh Tho Commune Police discovered a citizen posting a photo inciting violence on Facebook, requesting to remove it and committing not to repeat the offense.

According to Hung Yen Provincial Police, on August 11, through a cybersecurity review, Minh Tho Commune Police (Hung Yen Province) discovered a citizen in the area using a personal Facebook account to post unattractive, toxic images with violent elements, causing negative impacts in the community.

Immediately after the discovery, the Commune Police force verified and clarified that the account owner was V.H.H (born in 2008, residing in Bo Trang 3 village, Minh Tho commune) and invited the citizen to the headquarters for questioning.

During the work, V.H.H honestly confessed and admitted to posting photos showing off Japanese swords to "express himself". The citizen said that due to limited awareness and lack of legal knowledge, he committed this act.

Minh Tho Commune Police determined that this was a first-time violation, without political purposes, and the consequences were not serious, so they reminded and asked V.H.H to remove the post and write a commitment not to repeat the offense. At the same time, the police force combines propaganda and education to raise citizens' awareness of social media regulations, avoiding similar violations of the law.

In the coming time, Minh Tho Commune Police will continue to step up the work of grasping the situation on cyberspace, promptly detecting, disabling and strictly handling cases of taking advantage of social networks to post and share false information, inciting violence, insulting the reputation of organizations and individuals, and negatively affecting security and order in the area.
