On May 19, Tuan Giao district (Dien Bien province) held a launching ceremony to plant and care for macadamia trees in 2025 to celebrate the country's major holidays: 50 years of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification; 71 years of the Dien Bien Phu Victory and 135 years of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday.
According to Mr. Ha Cam Hong - Chairman of Tuan Giao District People's Committee, continue to implement the Agricultural Production Restructuring Project, converting crop structure according to the district's orientation to focus on developing two main types of trees: macadamia and coffee.

In 2024, Tuan Giao district planted nearly 3,360 hectares of macadamia, bringing the total area of the whole district to 5,900 hectares. The official week became the district with the largest macadamia area in the country, with the participation of 8,225 households (accounting for nearly 50% of the total number of agricultural production households in the district).

In 2025, the district will continue to mobilize 3,700 households to register to plant nearly 2,170 hectares new. After the launching ceremony in Quai Nua commune, hundreds of youth union members and thousands of households in the communes planted macadamia trees, creating a vibrant competitive atmosphere, spreading the spirit of competitive labor production.
