Dumping garbage illegally, two people in Tay Ninh fined 750,000 VND

Tay Ninh - Dumping garbage and wastewater in violation of regulations in public areas, two people were fined 750,000 VND and forced to collect and treat all discarded garbage.

On September 20, information from My Yen Commune People's Committee, Tay Ninh province said that the Chairman of My Yen Commune People's Committee issued a decision to sanction administrative violations against Ms. Tr. T. N. M and Ms. Tr. T. H. O. According to the decision, based on point c, clause 2, Article 25 of Decree No. 45/2022/ND-CP dated July 7, 2022 of the Government on sanctioning administrative violations in the field of environmental protection, each person was fined 750,000 VND.

Not only paying the fine, the two individuals also had to collect all discarded waste, transport it to the correct location for receiving and treating waste, and restore the original state of the violating area within 1 day from the date of receiving the decision.

If they do not voluntarily comply with the deadline, the violator will be subject to enforcement. Notably, each day of late payment of the fine will be charged an additional 0.05% on the total amount not yet paid.

Previously, in the early mornings of September 12 and September 14, functional agencies discovered two individuals with acts of throwing, discharging, abandoning garbage and dumping wastewater in the wrong places in a public area in Go Den hamlet, My Yen commune.

Through these sanctioning decisions, My Yen Commune People's Committee sends a strong warning message to all people in the area about the awareness of maintaining general hygiene. Currently, the locality is drastically implementing measures to rectify the environmental pollution caused by domestic waste.

To increase the effectiveness of supervision, functional agencies are installing security camera systems in public areas, alleys and key roads. Images from cameras will be used to extract and collect evidence, serving remote fines and handling cases of intentionally littering indiscriminately according to regulations.
