Enterprise in Lao Cai fined for 240m3 of sand without invoices and documents

Lao Cai - A business in Hung Khanh commune was fined 50 million VND after functional forces discovered 240m3 of sand stored without invoices or documents.

On June 17, information from Hung Khanh Commune Police said that the unit had just coordinated with the market management force to detect and handle a business storing sand of unknown origin.

Previously, on June 2, Hung Khanh Commune Police coordinated with Market Management Team No. 3 (Tran Yen - Van Yen area) to inspect the compliance with legal regulations for Tuong Tuyet YB Co., Ltd. in Pa Thooc village, Hung Khanh commune.

Through inspection, functional forces discovered that this enterprise was storing 240m3 of sand but could not present invoices and documents proving legal origin.

According to functional agencies, the above act shows signs of violating regulations on buying, selling, transporting, storing or consuming minerals of illegal origin.

Immediately after that, Market Management Team No. 3 made a record of the incident, took 4 sand samples for testing, and temporarily seized all the sand to serve the verification work.

After having the results of the assessment and completing the dossier, on June 15, Market Management Team No. 3 issued a decision to sanction administrative violations against Mr. N.V.T - representative of Tuong Tuyet YB Co., Ltd. - for the act of purchasing minerals of illegal origin.

For this violation, the enterprise was fined 50 million VND.

According to Hung Khanh Commune Police, the case shows the effectiveness of coordination between grassroots police forces and functional units in resource and mineral management, contributing to ensuring security and order and preventing violations of the law in the area.

Functional agencies recommend that organizations and individuals operating in the field of mineral exploitation, transportation, and business strictly comply with the provisions of law, and keep complete dossiers and documents proving the origin of goods to avoid being handled.
