Initial information, at nearly 3:00 p.m. on November 8, bus route 148 (going to Mien Tay Bus Station - Go Vap) was running on Nguyen Thai Son Street, from Mien Tay Bus Station to Go Vap District. When reaching the intersection of Le Lai Street, Ward 3, a motorbike driven by a man driving in the same direction overtook it.
The motorcyclist then suddenly hit a bicycle going in the same direction in front of him, fell down, accidentally hit the back side of the bus, and died on the spot.
The bus stopped to resolve the incident, the passengers were safe and transferred to the next bus to continue the journey. At the time of the collision, the bus was traveling at 18km/h.
After the accident, Go Vap district authorities and traffic police arrived to block off the scene, regulate traffic, and extract camera footage for investigation.
