At noon on November 7, District 12 Police coordinated with relevant units to investigate a traffic accident between a tanker truck and a motorbike that left one person dead and one injured.
Initial information, at around 12:30 p.m. the same day, a concrete mixer truck with HCMC license plate, driven by a male driver, was on Phan Van Hon Street heading towards National Highway 1.
When reaching the intersection with Tan Thoi Nhat 8 Street (Tan Thoi Nhat Ward, District 12), this vehicle collided with a motorbike driven by Ms. P.T.N.G (38 years old, residing in Hoc Mon District), carrying her daughter P.N.K.N (13 years old) behind, traveling in the same direction.
The accident caused the mother and daughter to fall onto the road. The mother was crushed by the tanker truck and died on the spot. The injured daughter was taken to the hospital. At the scene, the victim’s body was found next to the motorbike, the tanker truck was stopped about 5 meters away. The impact of the accident caused traffic congestion in the area.
Upon receiving the news, District 12 authorities quickly arrived to regulate traffic and investigate the cause of the accident. By 2:30 p.m. the same day, the involved vehicles had been removed from the scene and traffic in the area gradually stabilized.
