On July 30, An Giang Provincial People's Committee organized a conference to summarize the work of building the "All people protect national security" movement (ANTQ), and at the same time deploy the Plan on general review of procedures and state management related to waterway transport and tourism activities.
In the first 6 months of 2026, the Provincial Steering Committee directed the Police force to promote the role of the Standing Agency well, proactively coordinate with departments, agencies, branches, and localities to synchronously implement solutions, linking the work of building the "All people protect national security" movement with the task of socio-economic development and mass mobilization work. Through this, continue to promote the strength of the great national unity bloc, mobilize people to actively participate in protecting national security, maintaining social order and safety right from the grassroots level.
Propaganda and dissemination of laws have been innovated in both content and form, suitable for each area, each target group, especially border areas, ethnic minority and religious areas. In the first 6 months of the year, the Police force organized more than 15,600 propaganda sessions with nearly 450,600 participants; distributed 56,750 leaflets, hung 3,285 banners, and conducted direct propaganda to 42,732 households...
The "All people protect national security" movement continues to be consolidated and deeply developed. The whole province has 1,828 residential areas, 102 communes, wards, special zones, 584 agencies, 269 businesses and 454 educational institutions registered to meet the "Safety of security and order" standards, reaching 100% of the set target.
The Provincial Police continues to pay attention to consolidating, building and replicating models and advanced examples. Up to now, the whole province has maintained 107 models in the movement, an increase of 10 models compared to the same period. Many models have promoted practical effectiveness such as the 2 An model "Security and Order, Social Security", "Team of ships and boats protecting security and order", and models being deployed in Phu Quoc special zone such as "Smart security cameras", "Family groups for fire prevention and fighting", "Rooms without crime, without drugs", "Civilized and safe roads in terms of security and order"... The models not only contribute to maintaining security and order but also are associated with social security, poverty reduction, consolidating people's trust in Party committees and authorities, and are recognized and praised by the Ministry of Public Security and the Provincial People's Committee.
Speaking at the conclusion of the conference, Major General Nguyen Van Han, Director of the Provincial Police, acknowledged and praised the achievements of departments, agencies, branches, localities and police forces at all levels in building the "All people protect national security" movement. The comrade emphasized that the movement must continue to be built in a practical and effective direction, putting the people at the center, promoting the role of the People as the subjects in preventing, detecting, and fighting against crimes and illegal acts.
The Director of the Provincial Police requested all levels and sectors to continue to thoroughly grasp and strictly implement the Party's guidelines, policies, laws of the State, and directives of the Ministry of Public Security, the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee on ensuring security and order. Improve the quality of self-management models, replicate advanced examples; strengthen the application of digital transformation in propaganda and movement building; proactively grasp the situation, promptly resolve incidents arising right from the grassroots level, and prevent the formation of security and order hotspots.
