Gia Lai Renewable energy sources such as hydropower, wind power and solar power are generating a stable source of budget revenue.

On April 10, information from the 14th Tax Department said that the renewable energy sector is currently contributing a significant part to the total domestic revenue managed by the tax sector.

On average, hydropower and renewable energy projects bring about VND900 billion to the provincial budget each year, accounting for about 16% of total budget revenue.

With stable characteristics and large contributions, renewable energy revenue is expected to continue to grow in the coming years, contributing to creating a sustainable financial foundation for the locality.

Currently, Gia Lai has 16 wind power projects with a total investment of more than VND43,197 billion. It is estimated that each MW of wind power contributes about 550 million VND/year to the budget.

If all 1,242 MW of wind power is commercially operated, revenue could reach about 680 billion VND, equivalent to more than 13% of the total provincial budget revenue.

In addition, the province has 7 large-scale hydropower plants invested by Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN), with a total capacity of 1,841 MW.
